About Me

Hi there! I’m Victoria Chávez-Kruse, Spanish to English translator and owner of VCK Translation.

I am ATA certified in Spanish to English translation, and I hold an M.A. in Spanish Translation from Kent State University’s Institute of Applied Linguistics, one of the top translation programs in the country, and a B.A. in Spanish from Malone University.

I have interned with the Legal Aid Society of New York and iDISC Information Technologies, a language service provider in Barcelona. I have also worked as a medical interpreter at a migrant clinic in Northeast Ohio.

I am a member of the American Translators Association and the Northeast Ohio Translators Association, which seek to advance the profession of translation and interpreting and offer resources and opportunities for continuing education. I consistently work on sharpening my skills and learning more about new developments in the industries with which I work.  I am also a member of the Black Squirrel Translator Collective, a group of four linguists who function as one company to collaborate on Spanish into English projects.
